Introducing our first ever guest author, crime writer and contemporary novelist Hemmie Martin.

Hemmie will be joining our host author Vanessa Matthews for an exclusive evening of writing talk during our forthcoming residential writing retreat at The Vean. A talented and experienced novelist, Hemmie began writing in 2008, and has since had six novels published, her most recent being published at the end of last year.

Her crime series featuring DI Eva Wednesday and DS Jacob Lennox, a psychological thriller, and two contemporary novels have been published by Winter Goose Publishing.

With a background in nursing, including time as a Forensic Mental Health Nurse working with young offenders, Hemmie now writes full time. She lives with her husband, has two grown up daughters and when she is not writing, provides a home for and trains Guide Dogs.
